here it is, I use Fvwm about 17 years ago, the configs dont are too much diferents, but the old ones
gives me good memories,if you dont know about if , you should look Fvwm-Crystal

this is not fvwm crystal... if you could post configs it would be nice... i suppose you use an external panel (maybe lxpanel) ?

No, I mean that you should take a look at the fvwmCrystal proyect if you want to look another configs

the screenshot are my configs,no fvwmCrystal

let me pull it and will post the tar file (my config is in modular design)

and nothing external, only Fvwm , the panel is with the good and old FvwmButtons and FvwmIconMan

You are in the good path, Fvwm for me is the more flexible WM out there
In some moment of the 2.x series came out a series of patchs to the source code
Things that many of users wants,like
overhover windows buttom pixmap,fluxbox windows handles
I got the tar file of that moment but I cant compile in fbsd 15...
