B bda65 Yesterday at 10:03 AM #3 Blender 4.2.0 can't be compiled with ffmpeg 8. You can compile 4.5.5 from ports with this patch

If you want to go to the adventure read the link posted by bda65, blender 4.5 or 5.0 will compile with newer version of ffmpeg.
