Hmmm.

"KDE Removes FreeBSD Support Because They Rely on systemd/logind Linux Daemons."

That's a headline fail. They require systemd for 1 of 2 login managers, not from the actual desktop.

"Why Young Women Moved Left While Young Men Stayed Sane."

What's this?

This is "Good Luck Getting Laid, Sane Boys".

"Testosterone Administration Reduces Lying in Men" - it's not about lying, it's about justice. Testosterone heightens men's sense of justice. And all the lunatics on the left scream that testosterone makes men aggressive. No, it makes them be hyper attuned to injustice and more likely to act to prevent it. And there's a lot of that going around, as you may know, which is why men with testosterone are an existential threat to the robber baron dynasties and other crazies.

I forgot to add context about 'login manager' ... fixed in that form:

KDE Removes FreeBSD Support in Plasma Login Manager Because They Rely on systemd/logind Linux Daemons.

Should be mess misleading now.

Thank You for reporting.

The article (which is 13 years old) makes no such claim.

I was quoting this part:

It's on Amazon at €219 but I bought it directly from the manufacturer at €179 with the first-time buyer's discount of €20. I'm just waiting for the €51 custom fee refund. Intel N150 is a lot faster than the A76. I find the Raspberry Pi's more expensive. Ah, and it came with a Win Pro license to upgrade my wife's laptop.

It's currently running NetBSD 11 Beta but the WiFi card is not recognized so I'll try OpenBSD.

I note (I guess it's a sign of the times) that more and more of the items are youtube videos. vermaden, that's not a complaint, I, like most here, appreciate the work you put into rounding up things that will interest many of us, and it's easy to tell if it's a video as the link will say youtube quite visibly. It's just a reflection on how things gradually change, I guess. And yes, kids, I'm a boomer so feel free to say OK boomer.

I have seen this pattern since late RPI 3 times ... with RPI 3/4/5 you get board only - with 'fixed' RAM and you still need case/fan/radiator/case/hat/... and not so recent - especially AMD Ryzen based - Mini PCs - are dirt cheap - offer 4-6/8 cores - RAM slots - native NVMe slots - case and power supply ... for less price ... and more important ALL POSSIBLE PACKAGES in FreeBSD Ports that some of them are often not available on ARM64.

As a one born in 1984 I am 'officially' from the Millennials generation (starting 1981) ... but first years of Millennials are sometimes referred to as 'Geriatic Millennials' ... the ones that have more 'Genetarion X' values in them then Millennials themselves.

I kinda agree to this because as long as I remember I had 'older' friends and mentally I was closer to the 'older' ones ...

... and yes - I also see more and more 'videos' instead of articles.

I believe there are many reasons for that ... some of them are:

- content creators just seek some return in $$$ for their content

- more and more people prefer 'audio-video' format instead of written text

- people prefer emotions over facts

- people just like if someone they believe 'is more famous then them' talk to them

Personally I would choose written article over ANY video any given time ... bacause You can not 'skim-read' video to check what it offers - how deep it is - what are the conclusions ... and You can not copy-paste the commands used there.

Tools like these help ... but articles are still better:

... just my $0.02 on the topic.
