How to ignore a thread?

Hi guys,

I a big fan of clicking on "new posts", however this comes with the side effect that active threads, even the one you're not particularly interested in, are always on top of the list. Is there an option or you may consider an option to allow users to ignore threads?

Sometimes there are extremely active threads that you are not interested at all and ignoring them would be very useful.

I don't think that's possible. But you can do the opposite and simply “watch” threads that interest you. Then you can view all the threads you are watching.

Can't enable an option that doesn't exist in the forum software.

Apparently there are addons that can do this, but we like to keep the addons to a bare minimum. Addons regularly cause problems when upgrading the forum software itself.

That's one way. Another is to follow specific users, then look at Your news feed, which will only show posts from the people you're following. It won't show threads though, just their posts.
