Solved After upgrade 14.2.to 14.3 I can't downoad 100 Kb and change password:No space left on device

you can use pkg clean to remove the old cache of the installed pkgs.
freebsd-update cache is located in /vad/db/freebsd-update you may want to check how big is that directory.
in UFS there's reserved space 8% which is not available for the normal users. see the tunefs(8)

Find out where most of your storage space went: du -sk /* | sort -n
Then try to drill down the largest directory and keep going until you know where most of the data is stored.
 
This is a completely unclear situation. If I work as root, there are no problems. But if I work as a user, there is not enough space, although the user directory is empty.
 
I already explain that in my previous post. The users doesn't have access to the all storage space. There's reserved 8% from the entire storage space which is only accessible by root. Also it's not recommended to fill up the entire disk.
 
But now as rooot also:I download sftp 100 Kb as root and now I can't change password- No space left on device

Also, check /var/db/pkg for metadata of packages you don't have installed any more (old versions of packages that were upgraded during the installation's livetime), and delete those to free some kb worth of disk space, hopefully enough to allow the allocation of lock files, then use pkg(8) to remove all third party applications via pkg delete --all --force . Once they're gone, delete /var/db/pkg and /var/cache/pkg to get rid of data that is no longer needed at that point, which, together with the data released by the removall of the third party packages, hopefully releases enough disk space to finish the freebsd-update. After the upgrade to 14.3-RELEASE is completed, you can reinstall the third party applications again.
 
I think I found who is clogging up the hard drive: rinetd.log . It increases by 3 GB per minute. I deleted it and stopped rinetd. And the password changes and there is enough space

899G is quite a bit of data not to know where it is though.

If the Arch system has a copy of the data (or access to the FreeBSD hosted copy via NFS or something similar), you can use sysutils/filelight (or I guess https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/filelight/ ?) to identify where your storage sinks are.

I couldn't clean it with :>rinetd.log because of its huge size. I had to use rm. But it is no longer needed. The user was connected via a local VPN server

The OS itself by default packed log files from a certain limit, but for some reason rinetd.log did not.Someone tried to pick a password with a password generator but it didn't work and the log file grew by leaps and bounds
