E-book viewer from calibre not working

Hi, E book viewer from deskutils/calibre 8.5.0 isn't showing anything when the main window popup. When calling ebook-viewer from the command line here's what the output:

Not that this is a real answer, but I'm able to read ebooks with zathura. (I have zathura and zathura-pdf-mupdf installed). It lacks many of calibre's features but it makes reading epub and pdf books quite easy to do.

that post # 1 same two-line error has blanked out [ to white ] every web page, here that loads [only in the url bar, so far... ] in

This is caused by qt6-webengine in qt6.9.
Try env QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS=--disable-gpu falkon

Thanks. I had recently re-entered it without checking as --gpu-disable. [ the browser redraws noticeably slow with it entered as it should. ] Some nvidia cards are being made obsolete?

I discovered this one: deskutils/foliate since deskutils/calibre-ebook-viewer doesnt work.

This is caused by qt6-webengine in qt6.9.

how did you find it?

One more that I was able to use previously, when, at some point, zathura wasn't working for me.
deskutils/fbreader. I think it may have more options than zathura, but I've found that I prefer zathura.

In the terminal, you can add & at the end if you want to get the prompt back.
