VSCode Extremely Long Build & Builds Linux on the Way?

I suppose that varies on the definition of reasonable, but a whole work day would have been my upper bound.

You've endured slow hardware for so long, you've accepted how much time you're wasting. IPC core performance has improved drastically over the last decade. I'd say you can build a reasonable system for under $500 using AMD chips. 30 minutes tops would've been my limit personally for electron apps. Invest in yourself sir.

You don't just have a 10 year old computer. You computer was a very slow one even when it was new. That's really a bit below reasonable.
I’m not going to defend this hardware, but I do think for something that is so popular it might not hurt to tell hardware that can’t play it shouldn’t try.

Oh this certainly isn’t my main machine ofc. I’ve got lots of modern Mac hardware all about the desk.

This machine was a proof of concept/investigation of freebsd interest / hardware support.

I have a new Zenbook arriving Thursday and I’m praying for the hardware compatibility gods’ favor.
