Falkon browser broke today after pkg upgrade

What ports/package tree? Quarterly or Latest?

Flavor? I am using falkon-qtonly

What does the command line terminal say when running falkon?

amd64 stable. Firefox works but no sound! [ nor chrome nor iridium... at least otter-browser has sound still ]

Please post the output of pkg -vv | sed -n '/^Repositories:/,$ p'

I just searched online how to find the ever-elusive url that may contain the latest package for it [ in case it is more recent than the last download OR the previous package, and as usual the web search only points
to THE FORUM for page after page rather than getting the url something-like-portsmon that I was
able to find more easily in years past?
OTOH testing a backup earlier version onsite here, it does not run either.

ICU is being bumped soon, firefox package will follow soon, stuff might break.
falkon segfaults right off and/or crashes with a blank falkon:restore
ICU is built [ newer ] but hesitant to install it due to this browser, firefox,
maybe breaking due to being older than an incoming package
falkon does not depend on ICU fwiw.
I emailed the kde list and three maintainers listed in freshports.org
for the falkon port, about the falkon one kindly replied and I started with poudriere but since
ZFS would slow down this machine and wreck backups without a lot of
expense, guides that use only UFS I have not found, and even then it
may not build eventually.
Firefox still does not build, and does not play sound.
Otter-browser does, but is not very snappy as falkon was and firefox is.
Waterfox and the other firefox variant also do not play sound here.
..............
Sorry for the lack of formatting, choosing between a command and a port name has
me undecided... ..
....
This being Freebsd, there will hopefully be some fixes eventually...

I tried to fix this updating nvidia drivers, breaking Xorg on v 13.2 STABLE. No luck fixing that, luckily I was able to [ had no choice but to ] upgrade by source to 14.2-STABLE.
www/firefox works still without sound... as before...
www/falkon segfaults on start both from package and from the port... as before... One fix I have not been able to find so far is setting the QTWEBENGINE_DICTIONARIES path which may not even fix the segfault.

Fortunately I knew which
nvidia-driver to reinstall in v 14.2, as too many choices were present during my attempts to fix the driver and/or xorg breakage in v 13.2 and it is working with at least 2 browsers as
www/otter-browser works and plays sound...

I fixed, using a hint from a thread here, the sound issue with youtube on firefox, fwiw... simultaneously with someone posting another fix for it also.

As a total newbie with poudriere, a suggestion to use that to try to fix falkon has stalled. Someone more experienced can give advice?

poudriere jail -c -j 142amd64 -v 14.2-STABLE -a amd64
poudriere ports -c -F -M /home/portsdev/ports -f none -p portsdev
poudriere bulk -j 142amd64 -p portsdev -c www/falkon
......................................

Those first two were deduced form several of TENS of howto's and completed without error, THANKFULLY but each guide for some reason could not be fully followed from here, and the third command halted at " make: cannot open /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk ..." so something is amiss/needs correcting in what my commands have done so far, afaik.

Some threads on the arch linux forum also address falkon and similar apps issues. The following all segfault here:
..............................
falkon
qutebrowser [ I newly installed this one ]
digikam [ I newly installed this one ]
khelpcenter
eglinfo -B
-------------------------
The threads and bug reports from that distro appear to be closed too
early, and assume it is due to hybrid grahics, or, has some linux-not-freebsd
workaround which I tested here.
Similarly, all the threads and bug reports report this as an issue from March of this year iirc.
-----------------------------
I built falkon with debugging symbols but no better luck with analyzing the .core file than the previous ones. I tried building what
gdb points to, qt6-webengine, with debugging symbols but that build
error'd out...

APRIL 18 UPDATE falkon bumped 24 to 25 [ kde gear update ] Still segfaults, built again with debugging symbols...

AANND with a hint from the linux forums...
QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS=--disable-gpu falkon started falkon for the first time in over a month. Hesitant to mark it as solved but if the fix repeats, at least a workaround for the browser, if not also for
qutebrowser, digikam, etc... which I am out of time to test.

Two issues: one... started that way SCREEN REDRAW is SLOW [ or maybe from being built with debug symbols? ] Two, "your profile data has been backed up" browsedata-backup.db, I can find no way so far to restore it from that file.
