bhyve Where can I send feature requests ? I mean I want to find some developer interested to add a nice feature to bhyve.

Sure. that's because I can't apply on this proposal without a developer that knows what to do. But you can spread the voice all around and maybe someone wants to partecipate. And then you can say to him that I can help with testing and making available my PC.

In that case, your best option is to monitor established projects and submit bug reports. If you do it long enough, somebody will show you the ropes for further involvement. Yeah, time consuming, but that's the way things work in this world. ?

sure. it is what I'm doing. But it's not easy. For the bugs that I found usually developers show interest at the beginning but after some time they forget, telling that they will try to fix them when they will have some time. That time will never come. Or it will be late, very late.

You keep saying, 'proposals are for developers', without a real understanding of what that even means, or how the system of project proposals and sponsorships is even supposed to work. I gotta break it to you, ziomario : You do have a LOT of strikes against you, even with the accomplishment that you're crowing about on Twitter. The attitude towards the whole thing, the angle which you choose to pursue, the expectations you express, and even the place you chose - this is just a few things off the top of my head that need to be fixed before submitting a proposal. FreeBSD forums are NOT the place to ask for coaching on proposal submission process. Your local university is your best bet for that.

I'm not the one that's insisting, man. I say this reluctantly because I have so much passion, but I realize that it is not enough to do that.

… Your local university is your best bet for that.

University campuses are certainly places of learning, but things change; habits change.

Online, habits can change much more dramatically. comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.* groups are no longer mainstream, and so on.

This request for enhancement to bhyve was, properly, addressed to a relevant list before it gained attention in FreeBSD Forums. The positive attention here is not a bad thing. Looking ahead: when someone suitably skilled has the same RFE, FreeBSD Forums might be the preferred place to get the ball rolling with (or parallel to) development.
