Anyone Interested in building OS Kernel in Rust??

Looking for 1 - 3 developers comfortable in Rust that may want to come together for a new multi platform operating system. Androids and Apples eventually Rust.

Proper RISC-V development boards are about as rare as unicorns at the moment.

Yep. They tend to disappear into the fog, leaving a trail of fireflys and a smell of wonder. Or so I heard.

Haha.

My tech gizmo cupboard full of old obsolete SoC boards doesn't smell like that. It smells of disappointment and missed opportunity.

Are you aware of Redox OS for the desktop or Theseus OS for computer research? The last time I checked a few years ago, Redox lacks a networking stack. Rust OS's could use development on one that could be used across several. There's a few smaller OS's written in Rust, including Tock OS for IoT.

It's better to start where work has already been done, including using libraries developed from any of those projects. relibc is a library in Rust which is an equivalent to C from the Redox project.
