I read half the article and still have no idea what labwc is. So pointless to continue reading some "philosophy" about something I don't even know what it is.
labwc is a very good drop in replacement for openbox for wayland. It's good enough so that you can just put your openbox rc.xml in, and while there will be error messages, it will work, along with most of your custom shortcuts. I glanced over that philosophy statment, and while it sounds good, it's easy enough for one person to do something that others will consider a violation of it and it just becomes a part of it. Shucks, google once said don't be evil. (That phrase was supposedly created by a woman who went to Yahoo, with some absurd salary, told everyone no more remote work, then said, see, I'm coming in and I built a nursery for my baby out of my own funds.)
