Last time I heard it was before Iron Maiden entered the stage on their Run For Your Lives tour last year. It's been the band's 50th anniversary, unbelievable!
A very illuminating video about the reliability of Wikipedia from a heavy metal standpoint (but I suspect that it can be extrapolated to any other field).
It's not from heavy metal standpoint but glam/hair rock/metal standpoint. I've skimmed through the video, it's a compilation of Loudwire's "Wikipedia: fact or fiction" series where they bring a notable/famous musician and run down their Wikipedia page so they can correct or comment, as first hand information. All the clips seem to be from hair metal guys, I only saw Rob Halford whos not from that creed.
The guy on the caption, Sebastian Bach, is a colossal asshole.
Hair metal as a thing is an American music industry project which was a bubble that burst in a matter of 5 years. Everyone used to hate them, Metallica made a career on fueled hate towards the thing. Their own lifestyle and the way they treated eachother as band members or bands on the same bill, makes me shed absolutely no tears about anyone of them. Fk hair metal.
