This won't work without multiple FIBs when the primary link fails.

Why? The solution is already provided.
Either point whole block of internet address to DMZ interface, or if you are using pf use reply-to like previous post suggests.

Adding ip address specification instead of 0.0.0.0 won't make things easier, but it should work with pf + reply-to. Further testing will definitely be more time consuming (or complicated).
