compiz wallpaper -can't get rid of blue overlay

I start ccsm and in wallpaper section, whichever .jpg image I choos,e it is all blue-white once it is set as wallpaper!
I simply can't get rid of that blue overlay

Also, I am frustrated with a need to exit ccsm and then completely exit X and finally startx for my settings to apply.
I don't see any kind of reload option or similar.

Greetings.

For using Wallpaper in compiz take a look here.

As for restarting compiz without leaving X11, you can create an application launcher
(or menu entry) in the desktop environment, pointing to the compiz-start shell script.
A shell alias to start the script from X terminal is also a possibility. There is
CompizFusionIcon as well.

I did look there, for wallpaper, but it hasn't solved my problems.
I can't get rid of blue overlay over wallpaper image.

compiz fusion icon isn't ported.
Or am I blind?

CompizFusionIcon in FreeBSD needs to be build from source. Download the snapshot from here.

User [post=15653]adamk[/post] has it working on his system.

Ok, thanks.
I can see fusion-icon hasn't been updated for 2 years.

Dou you have any indications for blue-overlay over wallpaper
both bg colors are set to default black and solid-fill is also set as a default.

Seeker, have you tried both png and jpeg images? I remember vaguely remember a bug with one or the other.

You can restart compiz by running 'compiz-manager &' in a terminal (if you have it installed from ports, of course).

I've just checked xfce4, same blue overlay here. Will work on it.
By the way, what desktop environment are you using?

Ok, I have just tried .png as a wallpaper -> WORKS!
Looks like .jpeg is broken "a little bit"

I don't use desktop enviroment.
I want max eye candines, without code bloat.

Currently:
xorg-minimal + nvidia drivers
compiz+emerald as a window/desktop/wallpaper manager
cairo-dock as a panel (currently pypanel, until it gets fixed)
iDesk - to get icons on desktop

All other apps are added as needed... and connected with panel/iDesk

It is still not fixed. When will it be?

PS: fusion-icon is now part of the latest cairo-dock.
