If Flash is dead, then how do you watch YouTube? I have tried the HTML5 trial, it is just not as good as Flash, it's sluggish and very very unresponsive. At this point there is not a single alternative for it,the HTML5 is overhyped IMO.

The casual gamer don't care about games that are aim at a specific audience. IF they want to succeed they need to target at the general pop IMO.

Enlighten me how it is a good start when Linux gaming is like 20 years behind. If the Linux market(safe to say non-existent) was any lucrative you would see some big names behind it. Regardless of how restrictive the Windows Store is, IMO I think people will still use it.

Hard drives tend to last very long. I have old PCs that bang and shake and they still work as long as its properly secure. Backing up more than 100G of data with DVD is just silly you would have to organize and label them. Hard drives are so cheap you can get a few TB under $150.

I still have 2 80gig hard drives(Platium, and Maxtor, now Seagate. They still work fine after 10 years. Hard drives are cheap just get more if you worry about them failing. They work perfectly fine for storing personal data.
What is wrong with pkg_add and pkg_delete? It's been working great for me, and I think that is the standard in FreeBSD.
If you want everything GUI I suggest Windows 7 or 8, just type appzwiz.cpl and Add/Remove manager pops up.
