I can listen to an FM station using rtl_fm which uses SoX to output a noise, but get no audio output from sdrpp.

I think that's something with multi-process, but crashreporter.exe can be disabled with MOZ_CRASHREPORTER_DISABLE=1 (didn't see a separate process on FreeBSD but the env's accepted under about:support; info):
