Trying to compile jack2

Postby egelor » 08 Jun 2012, 10:05

Hello there,

I'm trying to compile jack2. When I do [CMD=" "]./waf configure[/CMD] I get the following error:
Code: Select all
Checking for header samplerate.h         : not found

As I try to locate the header file is inside my [FILE]/usr/local/include[/FILE] folder. I try to link the file but I don't know where to link it. Please help me to install jack2. Thank you.

Yes, I got the [FILE]jack[/FILE] installed. But as I want to use the Netjack which is supported only in [FILE]jack2[/FILE] I had to manually build the package. I downloaded the package jack-1..9.8
[CMD="./waf configure"][/CMD] gives me http://pastebin.com/RUikCmbL

About the[FILE]samplerate.h[/file] and [file]sndfile.h[/FILE]
[CMD=" "]sudo ln -s /usr/local/include/samplerate.h /usr/include[/CMD]
Same with [FILE]sndfile.h[/FILE]. Two more errors, [FILE]libfreebob[/FILE] and [FILE]libffado[/FILE]. Downloaded them and [CMD=""]deb2targz[/CMD]
Need to link them right.

In that case, create your own port for it. The port will take care of the location of header files and libraries.
