UFS2 has been around a long time. I think that XFS would be a great replacement. I also think that for small systems, ZFS is overkill.
What do you people think?
- XFS is a high performance system and is quite stable. I won't list its many virtues, you can easily look them up on its wiki page.
- If
FreebsdFreeBSD is ever modified to become a real time operating system, XFS would be a great fit. - XFS has already been partially ported to
FreebsdFreeBSD, why not finish the job? - With XFS, we would have an easy bridge to Linux.
