Other XDM fails to get into XFCE

Hello everybody, I have some nasties with XDM.

If I start XDM at boot as described in the FreeBSD Handbook, I can log in as both users until I log in as normal user and open xfce-terminal. After that, when I try to log in with XDM, XDM returns to itself, and when I start Xfce with startx as a normal user, I can't open xfce-terminal. What should I do to fix this?
 
If you are trying to run startx after you have exited out of XDM, then you'll need to do the following as a normal user or for all your users...
echo "/usr/local/bin/startxfce4" > ~/.xinitrc
