Which USB Wifi Adapter do you recommend for Freebsd 14 instead of my RTL8821CE?

Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I've posted but I've returned to the forum because I wanted to reinstall Freebsd on my home pc to permanently retire Windows.
Currently I am with windows 11 connected via cable but soon I will have to opt for wifi connection due to technical needs.
My pc has as a built-in wifi card an RTL 8821CE which looking through the official list of supported hardware does not appear.
I saw many other chipsets listed but I wanted to ask you for advice on which USB WIFI adapter to buy that is immediately recognized by freebsd and therefore perfectly compatible without any kind of workaround.
I didn't want to spend a lot if possible and had fallen my eye on ASUS USB-N10 Nano B1 also because I seem to have seen it in some threads searching.
What are your thoughts on it? Alternatively what do you recommend?

Thank you all for the availability.

Those USB things usually suck because they don't have a real antenna (usually).

Asus doesn't document what is inside the adapter you mention.

For a PC tower, I recommend something like the ME30. Effectively a wifi extender but has a convenient ethernet port for you to use. It generally has one of the better speeds compared to many of the USB dongles I have tried.

Hi cracauer@
I have no particular needs since the desktop pc sees diagonally an extender I have about 4.5 meters away.
My only need is to have a peripheral immediately recognized and stable so no random disconnections.

Thanks

In my case I would prefer a suggestion regarding a USB dongle.

Thank you very much

Perhaps the better USB dongle I have used is the EW-7711UAN.

It uses the if_run(4) driver which is very stable and effectively is just one big antenna. That said, I would recommend using a USB extension cable to pull it slightly further away from the shielding of your metal PC tower itself.

Another option is going for a grab bag of cheap usb dongles marketed for the Raspberry Pi. Those are very likely to have open-source friendly chips inside.

Do note that on FreeBSD, work on 802.11ac/ax is still in progress so your speed will be limited to around 'g' speeds with most dongles.

Hello everyone i bought the ASUS USB-N10 Nano B1 adapter as written in the first post.
I saw that it is listed among those supported in the official Freebsd guide.
As soon as it arrives, I will go ahead and do a clean install of version 14.2 and let you know how I get on, if indeed the adapter will work well.

Thank you all for the support.
