Solved Which is more usable: 12.3 or 13.0

I read some of the Release Engineering pages but still not sure which is easier to use while not having serious shortcomings. Is it like comparing apples and oranges?
After several months, and the number of changes in the stable/ branch have grown significantly, it is time to release the next version of FreeBSD. These releases have been historically referred to as "point" releases.
In between releases from the stable/ branches, approximately every two (2) years, a release will be cut directly from head/. These releases have been historically referred to as "dot-zero" releases.

Yes and no. Answers will vary according to the fruitiness of your use case.

I see your <https://forums.freebsd.org/posts/515314>, and this:

I dream of a system with no Xorg and an integrated freebsd install that ends with at least a minimal multitasking desktop. Of course, it would need flexiblity for customization like we have now. …

There exist bugs in 13.0-RELEASE that do not exist in 12.3-RELEASE, fixes for some of which will not be release engineered until 13.1.

13.0-RELEASE allows superior DRM.

I have AMD Radeon 8330 which is for Kabini APUs such as QC5000-ITX. …

I guess, you'll be happier with 13.0-RELEASE.

Solved:
I set up 13.0 with XFCE, then 14.0 just to run the optional system tests. Next I will try 12.3 on another computer.
Thanks for you thoughts.
