Solved which Dropbox to install?

which Dropbox runs automatically on login xfce4 -- as i am taking from Linux and I don't have this many options to try and figure out which one I need to install so have it just there working with the applet in the apt tray

Apparently, none of them. Those are mostly about API interfaces, and one bash script to do uploads.

Which part(s) do you perceive as insanely confusing?

The port you linked clearly states that it's an SDK (software development kit). It's not an end-user application.

If you're looking for end-user software you might be interested in net/rclone.

insanely confusing that no one has made an app to work on FreeBSD like it has on windows and Linux.

Not sure what you're after but net/rclone should get you pretty far.
