what's jobs has been done about make buildworld in freebsd 14.3 ?

i am trying to upgrade my system from 14.2 to 14.3 with source code .
one step was : make -j4 buildworld ........
what jobs is it in this step ? thanks. new guy want to study it.

It is explained in the handbook. May I ask why you want to build it from source?
