Vultr VPS running Freebsd 14

Good Day Everyone,

I set up domain name with namecheap, in addition i set up vultr vps running freebsd 14. I set my namecheap NS to vultr NS, takes about 48 hours to replicate. However I only have vultr ns in vultr dns settings. Is there anything I am missing? pardon my inexperience

48 hours sounds like a lot. i moved dns for a namecheap registered domain from he.net to namecheap back and forth and took minutes
also namecheap will provide free dns service

To clarify, in the namecheap DNS settings, you have chosen to use the Vultr domain nameservers, and that is the step that is taking 48 hours?

How do you know it's going to take 48 hours? Is that the time it has taken already, or is that the time namecheap claims it will take?

I havent chosen specifically the Vultr domain nameservers, but i went in and added the 2 entries manually and it gave a side message stating it would take 48 hours.

most vps providers will let you set a reverse name so the ip resolves back to your domain
this is useful if you want to send email from that host

sys admin team told me my port 80 and 443 are not open.

What are you trying to do ?
Are you trying to host your own dns server on vultr ? Or are you trying to host a website on vultr ? Or are you trying to use vultr as dns provider ?
