I recently installed VLC 1.1.11 on Gnome 2.32.1 and ever since then I am unable to use or even configure remote desktop. I use tightVNC from my MS client to access my FreeBSD server especially when using Code::Blocks (kind of hard to type in bed, long story).
Anyway I have tried reinstalling GDM and GNOME but the same thing happened. Another odd thing about it is the GNOME clock has disappeared from the desktop.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
