I'd like to file a bug report for this:

I wonder to which package vboxvideo belongs to? virtualbox-ose-additions?

The workaround didn't work in my case, the driver really needs a bump!
 
I am still unable to run my FreeBSD VM with X11, the problem is when I run startx the window gets black, none of the serial console work. I have to force a reboot and when I go searching for some hints into any logs, looks like anything has been recorded... ?
