Other Various types of partition table

Today I repartitioned my SD card with GParted on Linux. First I wiped out the current partition table (msdos) and created a new one (gpt). I found GParted also supports the creating of various types of partition table other than msdos and gpt but I only care about these most: sun, bsd. What is the bsd partition table exactly? I have installed FreeBSD many times but I only found I'm encountered with msdos and gpt but never bsd partition table.

I'm not a gparted.org user. So I searched for BSD in their website:
site:gparted.org bsd => (DDG|Bing|Google) => 0 result => gparted.org maintains a magnificent documentation.

Therefore I have to guess and read fdisk(8), gpart(8) and FreeBSD Architecture Handbook:
It refers to 0xa5 aka 165 aka ffs/ufs2 aka FreeBSD "partition type".
