I am having a difficult time apparently setting the PATH for KDE4 upon login. This is mostly a problem for Emacs launched by KDE since it has the incorrect path for pdflatex. I have set the PATH in /usr/local/kde4/share/config/kdm/kdmrc, /etc/csh.login, /etc/profile, /etc/csh.cshrc, and all of my shell configuration files. Any shell that I open has the correct PATH. Launching Emacs from a shell gives me the correct PATH, but using KDE to open Emacs does not give the same path. Any ideas on how to tell KDE what path to use?
