Solved Uable to use android file manager with ssh

Hello, I want to access my files on a FreeBSD server via ssh/sftp using a file manager on android. I was previously using ES File Manager on my phone and it works from years.

Using a new tablet, I discover that this android application is no more supported.

I've tryed multiple android similar applications FX file manager, Total commander, others which are supposed to support sftp protocols but all those applications fail to connect on my server.

The auth.log show strange log :
Bad protocol version identification '-HSS2.0-PUTTY' from <IP @> port 38496

Any advice ? Which android application are you using ?

Thanks

I reply to myself.

It seem that most android file manager does not use a solid ssh implementation. The sshd_config should contain PasswordAuthentication yes.

It seem that default configuration is yes for ubuntu 18.04 LTS and no for FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE
