Trying to use Xorg with amd rx6650, /dev/drm is not created even if amdgpu.ko is loaded

So, a friend of mine is trying to install FreeBSD for the first time on his desktop computer without any luck.
I currently have FreeBSD working on 2 desktop computers both with amd cards and I'm using the drm-kmod port as drivers, he also installed the drm-kmod driver and enabled it.
Using kldstat we noticed that the amdgpu.ko module results loaded but that /dev/drm nor /dev/dri exist and indeed startx fails because it can't find the card file. We tried drm-kmod, drm-515-kmod and drm-510-kmod with no luck. Can anyone help us?

The gpu is an AMD Radeon RX6650.
