Trying to set up audio on this laptop. From dmesg

You have my sympathy, I suspect we are victims of the same problem.

I haven't needed to use sound on my laptop for a week or so. Today I cannot get any sound output on FreeBSD 14.0. My laptop can dual boot Windows 10 and there is no problem with my hardware running Windows, only on FreeBSD. I am confident that it is not a hardware malfunction.

The 'beep' command doesn't work. I suspect that something may have changed in an installed FreeBSD update that has broken sound on my laptop. I have been unable to resolve the problem today.
