This thread violates Rule #3, IMO.
My mom saw many of the films I posted, and more. My dad didn't care much for films, but preferred books. I try to mix it up, read some books, and see some films. My aunt, who was my dad's sister, absolutely loved watching movies. She and my mom were war brides, and went to many movies together, before and after the war, when they were living together in Springfield, Illinois. Mom and Aunt Pat also read books, many of which were about Hollywood movie stars.I saw all mentioned films, some together with my parents and I never heard about vulgarity for example in them. About many directors we also learned when I was in gymnasium.
Interesting how are those films marked as "taboo" but the majority from Hollywood production with violence, murders and I do not know what more are acceptable in the theaters and on TV.The moderator(s) seem to think there was nothing wrong with this thread to begin with or the specific videos with partial nudity and the discussion surrounding it is sexually oriented in nature (I don't care to argue this point if they don't agree, since the comments were mocking in tone), but that's probably because they are all male and think this is normal. "Coincidental" is not the word I would use to categorize the resulting posts in this thread due to stereotypically male population on computers forums. It seems to not matter because the people in charge to not agree with me so you can continue on and I'll attempt to ignore it.
Anyway, thank you for changing the title at least, as that is the most helpful since it shows up in the new threads list constantly. It's much easier to skim over.
Violence is terribly popular in mass-market films, television, and in entertainment and news media in general. To me, violence and murder are much more pornographic than sex.Interesting how are those films marked as "taboo" but the majority from Hollywood production with violence, murders and I do not know what more are acceptable in the theaters and on TV.
IMO, not really, as this is easily explained by film history. Regardless of what that business thinks is taboo, the forum rules would (or in this case, apparently do not) apply here.Interesting how are those films marked as "taboo" but the majority from Hollywood production with violence, murders and I do not know what more are acceptable in the theaters and on TV.
