I really like the tab-view feature in acroread9. But acroread9 uses much of the CPU(up to 60%!). Kpdf is much lighter. Would be nice to see tab-view feature added to Kpdf!
KPDF is part of KDE 3.x which will not be seeing new features like this.
KDE 4.x uses Okular as the PDF viewer, but does not have tabs either. There is already a feature request for this, but the lead developer doesn't seem real enthusiastic about implementing this.
As a sort of workaround, you could open several PDF documents with Konqueror in tabs. I know this works in KDE 4.x, but IIRC it works in KDE 3.x too.
As for Acrobat Reader, 60% CPU usage is pretty high. Something isn't right there.
