system will not startup at unqualified hostname(group1) uknown; sleeping for retry

I accidentally put two host names in rc.conf now the system will not start up. It gives the error written above. I tried entering via safe mode, the same error occurs. Is there a way behind this or do I have to reinstall the OS?
