I think I heard of this issue on Firefox under Windows so it isn't a Librewolf or FreeBSD specific issue. It was caused by Google using a canvas feature that privacy people disable in efforts to stop canvas fingerprinting. Librewolf is more privacy oriented so some of those security measures are on by default.

I thought I heard of ublock-origin fixing that already in their filter scripts so you may want to try installing it; addons can make your browser profile more unique so it can increase chance of being uniquely identifiable. Addons also expand the codebase that could have vulnerabilities so unique attacks through it might be possible; ublock-origin can preemptively stop a number of attacks that have been used on browsers and users so I'd debate that not running it opens up more security issues.

Alternatively people mentioned to turn off canvas blocking type of features from the browser or addons though that is a direct downgrade to such security efforts. Personally I'd look into alternative ways to download/watch youtube content before downgrading security.

I have the same issue, too while watching a video on youtube from time to time.
Like Mirror176 said it is caused by a security feature in the browser.
The colored vertical lines usually disappear after I hover the mouse away from the screen, and wait for 2-3 seconds.
It is not a fix exactly, but better than degrading security.

As long as mouse on the window - this is what i get, unless video is playing then yes - mouse disappears after a moment.
P.s. i had same issue with Firefox so i think its more likely to be ublock-origins.
Ok, time to reinstall ublock-origins and or libre all together then.

I didn't change anything except Firefox had update - 135.0.1 and looks like the problem is gone. I have ublock-origins too,
