I thought it might be nice to share my experiences with the current GNOME 3 port from the marcuscom repository.
Everything works so far, but I had to compile devel/glib20, x11-toolkits/gtk30 and x11-wm/mutter with WITH_DEBUG enabled, otherwise the GNOME shell crashes when resizing windows or using the tray.
As for the UI concept of GNOME 3 - I'm getting used to it but I'm missing many control options (like gnome-session-properties, which at least works from the terminal...). I hope they find their way into the final version.
