Spectacle failed after plasma6-plasma transition

Hi everyone,

since the transition to plasma6-plasm could no longer delayed I just updated to plasma6-plasma X11. It works well with some minor issues that could be fixed easily. One thing is just a bigger issue to me. Spectacle just stopped working.

When i try to take a screenshot i get the following error:

Potentially relevant information:

- Method specific arguments: "DisplayPort-2"

There are some older (3 years) threads about that problem but their solutions sadly do not apply.

I am on binary packages from latest repo.

Anybody stumble on that one, and has an idea what to do?
 
This thread has some discussion about Spectacle under plasma6; it was mainly about plasma6 under wayland, so I am not sure if it applies to your problem.

hey, does Spectacle work properly under plasma5-plasma with Wayland specifically?
 
It probably is not. I was suspecting some kf5-* dependency still resident to be the culprit, especially kf5-kauth.

Problem is, when i tried to remove it it wanted to remove plasma6-plasma too.

sudo pkg  remove kf5-kauth

Does 'spectacle-devel' work for you? I have noticed that the devel versions of dolphin, konsole, etc. work with plasma6 when I tried it sometime ago.
