Solved [Solved] Locked out of FreeBSD - bad rc.conf

Any hope of gaining access to a machine after making a mess of my rc.conf file? It askes for the full path to the shell or to hit return for /bin/sh but then loads my keyboard driver, not giving me a chance to respond. I have tried several times to hit return as soon as the message appears, but no luck.

I have played with FreeBSD for some time, but am light years away from knowing how to deal with this. I get limited access: simple commands like ls, cd, pwd etc. but cannot get in to edit the rc.conf file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Barry
