Solved [Solved] How to change TTY cursor?

Hi.

How to change the TTY cursor from a block to an underline? I have searched in the FreeBSD handbook and other sources of information, but I didn't find the answer.

I use FreeBSD 10 x86.

Thanks.

Re: How to change TTY cursor?

It seems like you just can't make it an underline. You can check vidcontrol(1) and the -c option, which is talking about normal, blink, and destructive mode.

Thanks.

The vidcontrol -c destructive command changed the cursor from a block to an underline.

Re: [Solved]How to change TTY cursor?

Thanks, that's nice to know. On the VM I've tried this, it made a dash, not an underline.

underline = _
dash = -

It seems to make a dash only on virtual machines (Parallels desktop, VirtualBox). It's making an underline in the KVM console (the few I tested).
