Solr/OpenJDK in FreeBSD

I am trying to run Apache Solr under FreeBSD but there are some weird issues due to OpenJDK - tried versions 11 through 24!

It reports nonsensical values for "committedVirtualMemorySize":881323691057152, and "systemCpuLoad":"NaN"

anyone else encountered this with Apache Solr ? Due to this, the dashboard loads in 30+ seconds and other weird bugs.
