So why do you use Arch/Gentoo/Void/Etc?

Practically spiritual BSD clones. Might as well use the real thing and objectively better system. Is there any tooling to be had that those distros possess?

*flame suite on*

Arch and derivatives have not become my Linux of choice when I need one. In my impression they don't replicate the FreeBSD update model, they just "do like ports" for the whole OS. They don't have any of the concepts of a separate base system that stays functional no matter how much you screw up ports, or the integrated documentation.

Documentation of course is strong with Arch because they only have one version and a single Wiki matching that version. But that isn't as strong as FreeBSD.

I don't. A reminder that technical discussions of other operating systems other than FreeBSD is not allowed. Including here in Off Topic.

Ah. Good point. Boredom gets the best of me sometimes.

Arch/Gentoo/Void/Etc are simply wrapping around the Linux kernel, they are not real operating systems.

How dare you!

Documentation of course is strong with Arch because they only have one version and a single Wiki matching that version.

I do commend the Arch community for supplying third party documentation. A Ports wiki would be nice.
