Small Desktop Manager

I did not know where to post this so I just put it here. In order to save space I need a small desktop. What is the smallest you know of?

Are you really referring to a full desktop environment, such as x11/lxde-meta and x11-wm/xfce4?

Or do you mean a single window manager like x11-wm/fvwm2, x11-wm/fluxbox, x11-wm/dwm, etc. (too many good ones to include here)?

The smallest I know of is EvilWM:

But I am sure you are looking for other window managers. What are you looking for? Tiled? Floating? Full-Desktop vs Window Manager?

Are you RAM limited or HD/SSD limited or CPU limited? Be aware that you can end up with gtk, gtk2, gtk3, qt4, fltk libraries from the applications you choose.

This Thread 35308 is an example of a lightweight desktop where the author considers minimizing the associated toolkit libraries.

x11-wm/flwm is an alternative Window Manager but the "space" savings can be negated if you run gtk3, qt4 based applications.
