Signature limitations

I've just discovered that I'm unable to put a clickable hyperlink in my signature. May I ask what the rationale is for this (considering we're able to put clickable hyperlinks in posts)?

Hmm, I was going to suggest that you had to matriculate to some other rank of user (post-count-wise, of course), but I just checked and I can't use the url bb code in my sig either.

It's probably an anti-spam measure, because you could a mere week or two ago. Perhaps the sexually attractive and obviously highly esteemed moderators can give special dispensations?

I wanted to put a link Ports I maintain in my signature.

As a temporary workaround, I wrote the list, using the port bbcode tag but that does represent too much information.

A link would be more dull.
