sddm problem

My problem is every thing boots on the sddm but dosen't recognize user name or password.
Tried going as single user, it boots to root, but can't write to correct anything in file.
Can't find solution.

Don't do it as single user!

In multi user, have you added the user(s) that you want to use to the video group?
