Solved Realtek USB network dongle frustration

Hi,
I have Lenovo P1 and bunch of USB network dongles, all of them with Realtek chips (I haven't found anything else). And... none of them is stable for more than a couple of hours. No matter what port I use, whether it's USB-A or USB-C, different manufacturers. Simply put, after some random time period networking is stuck and I have to unplug, plug it back and restart networking. It's frustrating.

Currently on 14.1-RELEASE. In other OSes (Linux, Windows), they're rock solid.

After recommending AX88179 chipset, the I found that it suffered from regular resets on FreeBSD 13 (some time back) -- causing active connections to drop.

The AX88179A chipset version continues to work flawlessly on FreeBSD 13. I can't vouch for FreeBSD 14. Available from Amazon.
