ProtonMail with Evolution email app with Hydroxide bridge

Is there a guide on how to get ProtonMail working with the Evolution email app with the bridge Hydroxide? Is there another bridge available? Hydroxide is installed and running fine on my FreeBSD 14 system. Hydroxide creates a a very long password to input into the Evolution email app. I may be doing things out of sequence, though. Thanks.

I never used Evolution mail client but the steps should be similar for every client.

You need to configure IMAP/SMTP servers. I was using Thunderbird with hydroxide and setting imap/smtp address like in below.

imap: localhost:1143, no ssl security or something
smtp: localhost:1025, same as above

IIRC, there is another bridge but requires docker.

The long password must be hashed version of your actual password and it needs to be registered to the hydroxide's database. If you use the hydroxide /etc/rc.d service, it is located in /var/db/hydroxide and you can destroy it when things go corrupt.

I don't use hydroxide anymore because I am unable to send emails through it.
