Problem with Gnome, I can't change language

Hi! I installed FreeBSD 8.0 with xorg, and gnome2 (I did it with pkg_add-r xorg, then pkg_add-r gnome2), well then the question is I can not make gnome in Spanish, I get all the menus in English. I've been editing multiple files (. Login_conf and rc.conf) putting locale = en_US, etc, and no way, I've only managed to put gdm in Spanish, I see no menu (in linux it is running gnome-language-selector -- n), and in gdm (before login) tells me Language: Unspecified, click Other and where I should leave a list of languages, not I get any. Anyone have any idea / solution? What is the file I must edit?

I've gnome 2.26.3, I modified .dmrc file on my home directory with locale parameters, and works. Thanks!
