Prefixes within categories

Wanted to suggest, a gaming prefix within the multimedia category, and a messaging/voip, messaging or communicating prefix under networking. The only problem with this is that, the solved prefix can replace those prefixes when those are solved.

There weren't many threads on gaming before, but I don't know if it's too complicated for it to get it's own separate category than multimedia within desktop.

Leaving everything as it is is ok too.

Being a contrarian, I always thought that there's redundant categories in the port tree:
e.g. x11-*, i18n-related and different category for sci-programs.

[EDIT]: Using prefix and suffix, and putting them in more general categories, e.g. (x11-* => x11), (i18n-* to related categories), and (sci-* => sci)

This was meant about the forums, not the ports tree. That was clarified after the responses.

Now, almost every thread related to gaming is under the "gaming" tag. A few threads under admin aren't under this category.
All of xmpp/jabber/prosody is now under the "xmpp" tag.
All or most of directly IRC or Freenode related is now under the "irc" tag.

Prefixes in threads (like PF, IPFW, IPF) usually interfere with the Solved tag. A "how-to/faq" tag wouldn't interfere with the Solved tag, but that being a tag (as it is a section) would be too much of an overhaul, and perhaps wouldn't be wanted. The existing how-to/faq section, more or less how it already is, is needed.
