Solved portmaster installs build dependencies from ports even using --packages-build

If I use portmaster --packages-build to install build dependencies using packages, it seems that it still installs them from ports. I want to use packages to speed up the installation.

The feature was never re-added to portmaster after it was converted to support the new pkg package system. There is work done on portmaster by a new maintainer but I would recommend migrating to ports-mgmt/synth instead.

I don't just want binary packages, only building dependencies that sometimes are huge and take a lot to download and compile

Synth? No way, out of the box its easy peesy.
