Other Porting HAMMER2 to FreeBSD

I just came across this GSOC email sent to one of the OpenBSD lists.

https://www.marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech&m=142755452428573&w=2

Does anyone know whether there has been some interest in possibly porting HAMMER2 to FreeBSD? I know FreeBSD has ZFS, but HAMMER2 offers some uniquely different features that ZFS does not quite offer such as being able to stream backups to disks in different machines on a network. The history feature alone is quite useful.

HAMMER2 is not functional as far as I know. That seems very naive post. John Marino DF developer asked Matt to post the update on the current status of HAMMER2 couple of weeks ago on users@dragonflybsd.

The post has been motivated by incoming BSD meeting in Japan.

BTW One of the biggest FreeBSD related announcements in Japan is going to be that FreeBSD current has fully functional Xen Dom0.
